Companion Support
Sometimes you simply need a steady, thoughtful person to sit with you for a while, to share a cup of tea, go for a walk, help you gather yourself, or make the day feel a little less heavy and alone.
I offer companion support sessions in the Greater Vancouver area for adults and seniors who would benefit from warm, grounded, in-person support in their home or community. This is a non-clinical service rooted in presence, conversation, respect, and care.
Who This Is For
Companion support may be a good fit for people in a variety of life situations, including:
- seniors who are living alone or would like more regular, meaningful connection
- people recovering from illness or surgery who are regaining strength and routine
- those moving through grief or loss who don’t want to be alone with it all the time
- people in recovery from addiction looking for steady, grounded support in day-to-day life
- anyone experiencing loneliness or isolation especially during quieter or in-between phases of life
- people going through a transition like retirement, separation, relocation, or a life that’s shifting in unexpected ways
What This Can Look Like
I bring the same warmth, insight, and steadiness that shape all of my work. I’m someone who knows how to sit with people gently, notice what matters, and create a space that feels safe, human, and unhurried. Companion support might include:
- sharing conversation over tea or coffee
- sitting together during a difficult or lonely stretch
- going for a gentle walk
- talking through a life transition or difficult season
- helping you structure your day or get started with a few simple tasks
- reading, writing, or drawing together
- quiet company and human presence when that’s what’s most needed
What This Is Not
Companion support is not counselling or psychotherapy, and it is not medical or personal care. I do not provide:
- bathing or toileting assistance
- medication management
- nursing or medical care
- housekeeping services
- crisis response
This service is best understood as relational, practical, low-pressure support for everyday emotional wellbeing.
