Client Focus
Every person has a story worth exploring.
I support people who are healing, rebuilding, or trying to make sense of what they’ve been through when life hasn’t gone as expected. Whether you’re a survivor of childhood trauma, domestic violence, going through a breakup, friendship drama, or just feeling lost in your career path. Sometimes life breaks us open, but we can put you back together.
Many of my clients feel deeply, think a lot, and are tired of holding it all together on their own. They are intelligent, self-aware and capable, yet still find themselves stuck in patterns or emotions that don’t feel effective. You might be someone others rely on, who’s used to coping, pushing through, and making it work … but inside, it feels like a lot. Maybe something in your life has shifted, or you’ve reached a point where you want to understand yourself better and move forward with confidence.

I can help you with:
- anxiety or depression
- healing from traumatic experiences
- surviving domestic violence or childhood harm
- breakup recovery and starting to date again
- feelings of shame or self-loathing
- getting out of survival mode
- stress, burnout and conflict
- anger management
- friendship tension and drama
- work relationships or career choices
- academic stress and time management
- crafting a sense of personal identity
- establishing independence from parents
- grief and loss
- abortion support
- sex worker support
- exploring sexual attraction or gender expression
- addiction recovery without 12-step programs
What kind of clients do I work with? All residents of British Columbia, of any gender, age 15 and above. Teens do not require adult consent to receive counselling services, but parents are very welcome to recommend counselling for their teenage children.
However, if you are seeking support for couples counselling, specific parenting concerns, or complex mental health conditions like schizophrenia or active eating disorders, these are areas outside my scope of practice. I’d be happy to connect you with my trusted colleagues who do specialize in these areas.
I usually recommend beginning with weekly or bi-weekly sessions. This helps build momentum, develop new skills, create a flow of feedback, and establish real progress. As things stabilize, we’ll move to monthly sessions or a rhythm of occasional check-ins to fit your needs. It’s common to feel better after the first few sessions. However, clients who continue with therapy report higher satisfaction and experience more meaningful, long lasting results. We don’t become Arnold Schwarzenegger the first time we go to the gym, and he didn’t either. Earnest growth takes work.
